Music Teacher in Philadelphia, PA

This opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with consistent hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-3:30pm, totaling 35 hours weekly.

Desired qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Music Teacher Certification for grades K-8 (minimum)
• Will consider out-of-state certifications or emergency credentials if accompanied by relevant, recent experience
• Strong foundation in general education and classroom management
• Previous experience teaching music in a school environment, preferably across a variety of grade levels
• Ability to design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and deliver dynamic music instruction for K-8 students
• Foster an inclusive, inspiring classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity
• Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and administration to support students’ educational journey
• Participate in school functions, parent meetings, and performances as needed
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and tailored support

Compensation for this role ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and degree level.
