This contract role runs from late August 2026 through early June 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:50 am to 3:50 pm, with a 30-minute break each day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania Instructional I or II Certification preferred—specifically in 8th Grade ELA (English Language Arts)
  • Open to applicants with out-of-state or emergency certifications
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience teaching ELA at the 8th grade level
  • Strong classroom management skills and a passion for engaging middle school students
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative, standards-based ELA lessons
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging ELA instruction tailored to 8th grade students
  • Assess, track, and support student progress through varied assessments and feedback
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports social-emotional learning
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, administrators, and support staff on curriculum and interventions
