Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Current Pennsylvania teaching certification in Environmental Science content
• Demonstrated classroom experience teaching science
• Commitment to culturally responsive instruction and promoting diversity in STEM

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging Environmental Science lessons aligned with the school’s STEM and culturally relevant curriculum
• Inspire and guide high school students through hands-on projects, interactive labs, and inquiry-based activities
• Assess and support student learning, adapting instruction to meet a range of academic needs and learning styles
• Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, respect, and collaboration
• Engage with colleagues, staff, and parents to support student growth and promote the school’s mission
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
