PE General Education Teacher | Puyallup, Washington

Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives while working as a dedicated General Education and Physical Education instructor on a contract basis. In this role, you'll help foster a dynamic and nurturing classroom environment, supporting students' academic development and physical well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification for General Education and Physical Education
• Classroom teaching experience (general education and physical education settings strongly preferred)
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and organization skills
• Passion for promoting student engagement, inclusion, and holistic growth

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction in both general subjects and physical education
• Develop lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and respect
• Monitor, assess, and document students’ academic progress and physical development
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to optimize student outcomes
• Implement school policies and procedures to ensure a safe learning environment
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
