This role involves facilitating hands-on activities and lessons for small student groups at various elementary, middle, and high schools. Sessions run 5-10 hours a week, scheduled after school between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm, giving you the flexibility to choose compatible hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Background as a General Education Teacher (elementary, middle, or high school level)
• Experience teaching or coaching Chess, Robotics, or Coding to children or teens
• Comfortable managing classrooms and adapting instruction for diverse age ranges (K-12)
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Access to reliable transportation with willingness to commute to campuses around Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia as needed
• Enthusiasm for engaging students in creative, extracurricular learning experiences

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead interactive Chess, Coding, and Robotics lessons in after-school settings
• Tailor instruction to the varying skill levels of individual student groups
• Ensure a safe, fun, and inclusive environment conducive to learning and exploration
• Travel to multiple school locations each week as assigned based on scheduling and program needs
