ESL Teacher in Round Lake, IL

Step into a dynamic educational setting as a valued teacher supporting students in general education and ESL classrooms. Five exciting full-time opportunities are available for passionate educators ready to nurture young learners and make a meaningful difference. Roles include two positions teaching 5th Grade Dual Math/Science, one teaching 5th Grade Dual Social Studies/English Language Arts, one 6th Grade Dual Math/Science, and a specialized K-2 English Second Language Teacher working with PreK students. This contract role runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027, and is based exclusively onsite.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required
• Current Illinois Professional Educator License with the relevant endorsement(s)
• Proven ability to develop, plan, and deliver engaging curriculum
• Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills
• ESL expertise sought for the K-2/PreK role

Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in assigned subject(s) utilizing research-based teaching methods
• Adapt educational materials to address diverse student needs and learning styles
• Support English Language Learners through targeted strategies and inclusive practices
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan integrated lessons and grade-level activities
• Participate in ongoing professional growth and school community initiatives
• Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with families

Onsite collaboration ensures direct engagement with students and fellow educators—virtual/remote teaching is not an option.
