Position Overview
This onsite assignment follows the 2026–2027 school year calendar and provides a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 40 hours each week. Compensation ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, with pay determined by experience, education, credentials, and other qualifying factors.
Key Responsibilities
The Elementary Art Teacher will develop and deliver engaging visual arts instruction that aligns with grade-level standards while fostering creativity and self-expression. Daily responsibilities include planning lessons, managing classroom materials, assessing student progress, and creating an inclusive environment where every student can succeed. The selected educator will collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to support student achievement while maintaining a safe and organized art classroom.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold an active South Carolina K–5 Art teaching license or an active out-of-state teaching license that qualifies for reciprocity through the South Carolina Department of Education before the August start date. Candidates with strong classroom management skills, effective communication abilities, and a passion for elementary education are encouraged to apply. Previous experience teaching art in an elementary setting is beneficial but qualified educators from a variety of backgrounds are welcome to interview.
