Step into an impactful role supporting English language learners in an elementary setting. This half-time contract position offers the chance to work closely with a diverse group of students, primarily in grades K-4, with occasional support for older students up to grade 12. The preferred schedule is for shortened days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, providing valuable flexibility for your week.

As an English Language Learner (ELL) educator, you’ll play a key role in fostering language development and academic success. Your caseload will include approximately 20 students, allowing you to build strong relationships and tailor your instruction to individual needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Licensure as a General Education Teacher with an ELL endorsement or experience in ELL instruction
  • Background in teaching English, literacy, or related subjects
  • Understanding of the unique academic and social needs of multilingual learners
  • Experience with elementary grades (K-4) preferred; openness to occasionally supporting grades 5-12
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Organized, flexible, and able to adapt instruction for different learning levels

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engaging English instruction and targeted support for ELL students
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans based on language proficiency levels
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate language goals into core subjects
  • Track student progress, conduct assessments, and participate in team meetings
  • Serve as an advocate for multilingual learners and their families
