Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state teaching certification for General Education or specialty area
• Experience teaching STEM and/or Family & Consumer Sciences strongly preferred
• Ability to design and implement engaging curriculum for middle or high school students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Enthusiasm for integrating technology, project-based learning, and practical life skills into lessons
• Collaborative mindset for working with school staff and participating in school-wide initiatives

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver curriculum in FACS and STEM according to state and district standards
• Create stimulating lesson plans that encourage students’ curiosity and participation
• Guide students through hands-on projects, labs, and inquiry-based learning activities
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and productive classroom environment
• Integrate innovative instructional strategies and digital resources
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and faculty about student performance
• Support extracurricular STEM or FACS initiatives (clubs, fairs, or community events) as needed
