What We’re Looking For:
- Washington State Athletic Trainer Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree from a program approved by the Washington Secretary of Health (minimum requirement)
- In-depth understanding of the rules and regulations associated with high school sports, including compliance with Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) requirements
- Current or eligible to obtain First Aid certification, CPR card, and AED training
- Previous experience working in education or with high school students is a plus
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Enthusiastic about fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students
Responsibilities Include:
- Teach physical education classes and support general education initiatives for high school students
- Collaborate seamlessly with the athletic director regarding scheduling, compliance, and student-athlete wellbeing
- Supervise athletic programs, ensuring strict adherence to WIAA rules and participation standards
- Lead and assist with clinics, practices, and training sessions as required
- Promote safe practices and respond to student needs in sports settings, putting health and safety first
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by school and athletic association policies
