Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Literacy, or closely related field
• Current New Hampshire Teacher Certification in English (5–12), or equivalent credentials
• In-depth knowledge of adolescent literacy, reading interventions, and ELA instruction
• Proficiency in data-driven instructional planning and progress monitoring
• Demonstrated ability to effectively support diverse learners, including those with disabilities

Preferred Experience:

• Additional certification or coursework in reading/literacy
• Direct experience delivering Tier 2 and Tier 3 high school reading interventions
• Familiarity with structured literacy or science of reading approaches for secondary students
• Practical knowledge of MTSS, competency-based education, and performance assessment frameworks
• Collaborative experience with content-area teachers to implement integrated literacy strategies

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to individual student literacy needs
• Strengthen comprehension, vocabulary, and academic language through engaging instruction
• Utilize assessment results to guide instructional planning and track student growth
• Deliver tiered support within an MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) structure
• Work closely with colleagues to foster literacy across content areas
• Serve as a resource for students who require specialized reading support, adapting instruction to ensure accessibility for all
