Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana teaching license/certification with required endorsements
• Demonstrated experience as an ESL or General Education Teacher
• Ability to develop and implement lesson plans tailored to ELA and ESL student needs
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
• Adaptability and commitment to cultural empathy within diverse classroom settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Design curriculum and instruct students in English language acquisition, focusing on core skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking
• Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and modify instruction to meet individual needs
• Encourage active student engagement, participation, and a sense of belonging for all learners
• Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that respects cultural diversity
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional approaches and student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and required documentation

This role is full-time (37.5 hour workweek) onsite, with the assignment extending through May 2027.
