Key Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement
• Clean driving record and successful background check
• Previous experience operating a school bus or similar vehicle is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible availability for early morning and afternoon shifts, with potential for additional hours
• Demonstrates patience, reliability, and a strong commitment to student safety

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely transport students to and from school, as well as field trips and after-school events
• Ensure passenger safety and monitor student behavior during transit
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to adhere to safety standards
• Keep the bus clean, orderly, and comfortable for students
• Follow all relevant traffic laws and district transportation policies
• Provide assistance to students boarding and disembarking, ensuring a smooth process
• Communicate clearly and courteously with parents, school personnel, and students
• Promptly report any concerns, incidents, or vehicle issues to appropriate staff
