Step into an impactful role as a full-time middle school math teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. This on-site contract position offers the chance to shape student learning in a supportive, dynamic urban middle school environment. You’ll engage with general education students and collaborate closely with SPED staff, creating inclusive lessons that align with state and district standards. Your expertise in math instruction and classroom management will drive positive outcomes for a diverse student population.
Key Qualifications:
- Holds active state certification or licensure suitable for middle school math instruction
- Bachelor's degree required to be eligible for an emergency teaching permit
- Previous school-based teaching experience essential
- Ability to complete all required PA clearances
- Strong classroom leadership and behavioral management track record
- Confident working within an urban school community
- Dependable transportation for daily onsite attendance
- Available to work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8:30AM-4PM (no schedule accommodations)
- Comfortable collaborating with other educators and adapting to varying student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, standards-driven math instruction to general education middle school students
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and assessment data
- Maintain positive learning environments and model excellent classroom management
- Foster academic growth while working in partnership with special education teachers for any SPED students in your classroom
- Assess student performance and refine teaching strategies to enhance understanding and achievement
- Participate in required meetings and professional development
This contract opportunity begins August 24, 2026 and concludes June 10, 2027. A Zoom interview will be arranged as part of the hiring process.
