Step into an impactful opportunity supporting high school students in a dynamic educational environment! We’re seeking dedicated general education teachers for an onsite, full-time contract position working with a math caseload of general education students—with the chance to collaborate with special education colleagues when needed. This is a rewarding chance to contribute your expertise in a setting that values strong instructional practice and effective classroom management.

This position runs from your soonest available start date through June 10, 2027, and consists of a 35-hour work week across standard school hours (8:30AM–4PM). There are two openings, each offering the chance to shape meaningful learning for students in an urban district.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (or eligibility for an emergency teaching permit)
  • Active state certification/licensure required for caseload
  • Proven background in general education classrooms, ideally at the high school level
  • Demonstrated mastery of math instructional skills and resource materials
  • Experience working comfortably within urban educational settings
  • Reliable transportation to and from school site
  • Able to complete all PA clearance requirements
  • Strong classroom leadership and behavioral management abilities
  • Availability during standard school hours; flexibility around schedule not available

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver math instruction to general education high school students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state/district standards
  • Use formative assessments and differentiated instruction to meet varied learning needs
  • Collaborate with special education staff as appropriate for mixed caseloads
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom climate
