Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library Information Science
• Active South Carolina Department of Education licensure with endorsement in Media Specialist/Librarian or a reciprocal license from another state
• Experience supporting students in educational settings preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and technology skills
• Commitment to inclusive and equitable library services

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain print and digital library collections
• Instruct students and staff in effective research and information literacy techniques
• Partner with teaching staff to develop resources and lessons that support curriculum
• Lead library and reading initiatives, book clubs, and author events
• Ensure accessibility of resources for diverse learners
• Maintain an inviting, purposeful learning environment for all library visitors
• Stay current with emerging media, digital resources, and educational technology
