Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching license in at least one of the following:
    • Mathematics (PRAXIS 5161)
    • Biology (PRAXIS 5235)
    • Chemistry (PRAXIS 5235)
    • General/Physical Science (PRAXIS 5135)
    • Engineering/Industrial Technology (CTE Certification)
    • Related STEM discipline (credentials considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Previous experience teaching at the secondary level is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative lesson planning and ongoing professional growth

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality STEM instruction to high school students in alignment with curriculum standards
  • Develop engaging, hands-on lessons and experiments that ignite curiosity and critical thinking
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to encourage improvement
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities
  • Support school initiatives designed to enhance the STEM learning experience
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and attendance
