NOW HIRING: Infant Montessori Teacher (Ages 0–3)

This contract position, located near Waukegan, IL, is ideal for a teacher who values creating a respectful, developmentally appropriate, and curiosity-driven classroom for children aged 0–3.

You will be responsible for fostering a secure, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere where young learners build confidence and independence through hands-on exploration. Qualifications:

  • Montessori Infant/Toddler Credential from a MACTE-accredited program (AMS, AMI, or equivalent)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Meets Illinois DCFS staff qualification requirements

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Solid understanding of human growth and development from birth to age 3
  • Familiarity with Montessori philosophy, teaching methods, and use of materials
  • Experience with observation, documentation, and assessment of young children's needs
  • Ability to design individualized learning experiences within a classroom setting
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, culturally sensitive environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide infants and toddlers using Montessori principles and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Observe and document each child’s progress for tailored support and communication with families
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and stimulating classroom setting
