Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field required
- Current Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s)
- Experience designing and implementing engaging curriculum for early learners
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate positively with school faculty and parents
- Passion for music education and supporting diverse learning needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate music curriculum to K-2 students
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans to support individualized learning
- Prepare students for school performances and special events
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers and school administration to enrich the music program
- Maintain accurate records and provide feedback to caregivers as needed
- Engage in professional development and contribute to the broader school community
