Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a closely related field required
• Current Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s)
• Experience designing and implementing engaging curriculum for early learners
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate positively with school faculty and parents
• Passion for music education and supporting diverse learning needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver age-appropriate music curriculum to K-2 students
• Create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans to support individualized learning
• Prepare students for school performances and special events
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers and school administration to enrich the music program
• Maintain accurate records and provide feedback to caregivers as needed
• Engage in professional development and contribute to the broader school community

This contract position runs from August 17 through May 27, 2027, providing the chance to make a lasting impact throughout the entire school year. Onsite instruction ensures meaningful interaction with students and staff, fostering an energetic and collaborative atmosphere.
