This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 10, 2027, offering a fulfilling contract position for passionate educators skilled at guiding learners to success. With a caseload focused on general education, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues, while Special Education students receive dedicated support from assigned SPED educators.
Your mastery of mathematics content and instructional strategies will shine as you craft and deliver engaging lessons aligned with state and district standards. Utilizing best practices, you’ll use formative assessments and differentiation to ensure all students thrive, while your strong classroom and behavioral management skills will create a positive and productive learning environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active, current teaching certification or licensure suitable for middle school math
- Bachelor’s degree (must have to qualify for emergency teaching permit)
- At least one year of school-based teaching experience
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for working in urban educational settings
- History of successful classroom and behavioral management
- Ability to reliably commute and be punctual between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM
- Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances
- Adept at collaborating within a professional school community
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans for a general education middle school math classroom
- Apply state/district standards, conduct regular formative assessments, and provide differentiated instruction
- Partner with SPED teachers for the inclusion of any special education students
- Foster an environment conducive to learning and classroom engagement
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, professional development, and grade-level planning
