Key Qualifications:

• Active teaching certification/licensure required for this caseload
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, permitting application for an emergency teaching permit
• Completion of all required Pennsylvania clearances
• Prior experience in a school environment
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work onsite
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Familiarity with working in urban school settings
• Availability to work between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM, with no flexibility around schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction to a middle school science caseload
• Design and implement lesson plans using formative assessment and differentiation strategies
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of subject matter, instructional techniques, and resource materials
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and support staff to meet student needs
• Uphold high expectations for classroom management and behavior, creating a positive learning environment
