Qualifications:

• Active teaching certification or licensure relevant to general education middle school science required
• Bachelor’s degree required (essential for those seeking an emergency teaching permit)
• Previous school-based teaching experience, including work in urban educational settings
• Demonstrates subject matter expertise and instructional proficiency
• Able to complete all Pennsylvania clearances prior to start
• Reliable transportation for daily commute
• Capable of working onsite from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM without schedule modifications
• Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
• Comfortable adhering to district guidelines and adapting to the school environment

Responsibilities:

• Create and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district science curriculum standards
• Differentiate instruction and utilize formative assessments to address diverse learning needs
• Engage students with innovative activities and scientifically rigorous coursework
