General Education Teacher | Westland, Michigan

This full-time, contract role begins August 24, 2026, and runs through June 4, 2027, offering an enriching experience during the school year. Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with Math Endorsement (please attach documentation with application)
• Previous experience teaching mathematics at the high school level is highly desirable
• Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills
• Ability to engage and motivate diverse learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging math instruction to high school students, adapting lessons to meet varied learning needs
• Assess student understanding and tailor interventions to support academic success
• Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff for the development and implementation of effective curriculum strategies
• Maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and participate in parent-teacher meetings as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect
