Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Remote Science Teacher to support 4th- and 8th-grade science instruction. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about student success and delivering engaging, effective instruction in a virtual learning environment.

The selected candidate will work remotely, dedicating approximately 20 hours per week to 4th-grade science instruction and 20 hours per week to supporting 8th-grade science instruction.

Please note: This is a fully remote position. No in-person teaching is required.

Key Responsibilities

• 4th Grade Science – 20 Hours per Week: Deliver science instruction remotely to 4th-grade students, allowing the current classroom teacher to focus on improving student performance in mathematics.
• 8th Grade Science – 20 Hours per Week: Assist and support the 8th-grade science teacher with virtual instruction and student learning.
• Promote student engagement, academic growth, and achievement in science through effective online teaching strategies.
• Collaborate with school staff to support curriculum delivery and maintain a positive virtual learning environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) certification in Middle Grades Science or Elementary Education is required.
• Candidates who are already licensed in South Carolina are strongly preferred due to the immediate start date.
• Candidates requiring licensure reciprocity may be considered; however, timely licensure is a priority.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and instructional skills are preferred.
• Ability to effectively engage and support students in a virtual learning environment.
