As a Sign Language Interpreter, you’ll work closely with 1-2 high school students, empowering their participation in classroom activities and school events. Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Proficiency and certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI), with prior experience in educational settings strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of deaf culture and best practices in interpreting
• Ability to interpret fluently between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL)
• Professionalism, flexibility, and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience supporting high school-age students is a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and clear interpretation for assigned students in classroom and school-related activities
• Collaborate with educators and educational staff to ensure students’ unique communication needs are met
• Aid in the development of a supportive, accessible learning environment
