K-5 Elementary School Interpreter - Appleton, Wisconsin

Desired Qualifications:

• Active interpreter certification
• EIPA score of 3.3 or above
• Previous experience interpreting within an elementary school environment
• Proficient in facilitating communication for children in grades K–5
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to work with a diverse range of students and adapt to varying classroom situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate, effective interpretation throughout the school day for elementary students
• Support students as they transition between classrooms or activities, ensuring consistent communication access
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers and school staff to identify the best strategies for each student’s needs
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics at all times
• Help foster an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all students
