Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Background in schools as an Interpreter and/or Foreign Language Interpreter
• Experience working with Multilingual Language Learners (MLL), English Language Learners (ELL), or English as a Second Language (ESL)
• Ability to consult and collaborate with general education teachers to support student learning
• Skilled in providing both targeted direct instruction and adapting support based on language proficiency levels
• Culturally responsive and empathetic, with strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability within a middle school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to multilingual learners, tailored to individual language proficiency and learning needs
• Partner and collaborate with general education teachers to design and adapt classroom strategies that support language acquisition and academic achievement
• Participate in and contribute to meetings, planning sessions, and problem-solving teams for multilingual learner success
• Maintain accurate student progress records and deliver clear communication to staff and families
• Support the development of language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—within an inclusive, positive classroom climate
