We are seeking a dedicated Braillist to support students for the 2026–2027 school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential services that ensure students with visual impairments have access to educational materials in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
Position Overview:
Start Date: 2026–2027 School Year
Hours: 20 hours per week
Pay Rate: $21–$31 per hour
Responsibilities:
Transcribe educational materials into braille for student use
Adapt classroom materials to ensure accessibility
Collaborate with teachers and support staff to meet student needs
Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all transcriptions
Support students in accessing curriculum through braille resources
Requirements:
Experience with braille transcription required
Knowledge of braille codes and formatting standards
Previous school-based experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Must be comfortable working onsite
