This full-time, contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, and will have you working with students in grades K-5, supporting their education throughout the school day. Your skills as a certified interpreter will ensure all learners can actively participate and thrive in their academic environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • EIPA score of 3.3 or higher required
  • Certification as a school interpreter
  • Experience interpreting in an elementary school setting, preferably with grades K–5
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for fostering inclusivity
  • Professional fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpretation services for students in multiple classrooms and subjects each day
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other interpreters to maximize student engagement
  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers
  • Support students’ access to the curriculum and social activities
  • Uphold confidentiality and ethics in all interactions
  • Maintain accurate records of interpreting assignments and student support
