• Proficiency in braille transcription with a proven ability to deliver materials promptly, typically aiming to stay 1-2 weeks ahead of curriculum needs.
• Experience working in educational settings, especially collaborating with Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI).
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining an efficient workflow.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and educational software such as Rogue Embosser, Duxbury Software, HMH for Reading/Math, and platforms supporting STEM subjects.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining communication with teaching staff.
• Quick turnaround capabilities and high attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transcribe and prepare braille materials for reading, math, and STEM coursework.
• Work collaboratively with TVI and other instructional staff to anticipate upcoming material needs.
• Ensure all materials are accurate, timely, and tailored to align with curriculum delivery schedules.
• Utilize software and embossers for efficient production of accessible content.
