A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Educational Interpreter ready to support students in an inclusive, engaging environment. This full-time contract role requires expertise in providing interpreting services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, ensuring communication access and educational success throughout the school year.

You’ll work closely with students, teachers, and school staff, facilitating comprehension and participation in classroom activities. The position runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers a consistent 35-hour full-time schedule each week.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and interpreting in educational settings
  • Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across elementary, middle, or high school levels
  • Relevant certification or credential for interpreting in schools (EIPA, RID, or comparable qualification)
  • Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and educational best practices
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, students, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school events for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
  • Cooperate with teachers, specialists, and support staff to facilitate educational goals
  • Adapt communication style for grade level, subject matter, and individual student needs
  • Provide feedback and support to educators about effective communication strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards at all times
