Work Hours: ~7:45 AM – 3:15 PM, 35 hours per week

A school district in the Traverse City, MI area is hiring a qualified Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract opportunity will support students in classroom and instructional settings while collaborating with educational staff to promote communication accessibility and student success. Qualified interpreters seeking a long-term school-based assignment are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation services for students in academic settings
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff
• Support classroom instruction and school-related activities
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with district policies
• Attend meetings and collaborate with special education teams as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Department of Education certification required
• Minimum EIPA score of 4.0 required
• Knowledge of ASL and educational interpreting standards required

Experience:
