Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Proficiency in interpretation for students and staff within a school setting
• Strong background as a braillist, with the ability to transcribe educational materials accurately
• Familiarity with technology and adaptive equipment for visually impaired students
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Compassion, patience, and a student-centered approach
• Previous experience in an educational environment preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret classroom discussions, assemblies, and meetings to support clear communication
• Transcribe textbooks, worksheets, and other instructional resources into braille
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to tailor accessible materials
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Encourage independence and active participation among students with visual impairments
