Grades 9 - 12 K-5 Life Skills Special Education Teacher - Boston, Massachusetts

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current teaching certification, preferably in special education or a related endorsement
• Experience working within K-12 settings, specifically with life skills or functional academic programs
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Experience with progress monitoring and data collection a plus
• Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for supporting student development

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons focused on daily living, social, and vocational skills
• Adapt curriculum materials to meet individual student needs
• Implement and track student progress on IEP goals related to life and functional skills
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain a structured yet flexible classroom environment
• Support student transitions between school, home, and community settings
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development
