Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in special education or related area (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience teaching Life Skills to students in grades K-5, 6-8, or 9-12
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive curriculum
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
• Commitment to collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Life Skills curriculum suited to various grade levels
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining thorough documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff regarding goals and achievements
