Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification appropriate for K-12 settings
• Experience teaching life skills or special education strongly preferred
• Ability to effectively engage with students in Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with staff and families
• Adaptability to tailor lesson plans to diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging life skills instruction to students in a supportive environment
• Assess individual strengths and areas for growth, implementing personalized strategies
• Create lesson plans that teach practical skills such as self-advocacy, organization, social interaction, and daily living activities
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation for each participant
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to enhance student success
• Communicate with families regarding student achievements and offer guidance for skills practice at home
