Grades 6 - 8 K-5 Special Education Life Skills Teacher | Columbiana, Alabama

What You’ll Bring:

• Familiarity with IEPs and behavior intervention strategies a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and facilitate lessons in daily living, social skills, and vocational skills tailored to individual and group needs
• Develop and modify curriculum to support students at varying developmental stages, from elementary to high school
• Implement and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that promotes safety, respect, and growth
• Utilize data to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers, providing updates and resources
