Grades 9 - 12 Grades K - 5 Life Skills Teacher in Cross City, FL

You’ll work collaboratively within a supportive educational environment, adapting lesson plans to diverse learning needs and partnering with families and school staff to ensure each student thrives.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education, Education, or related field
• Valid state teaching certification
• Experience teaching life skills or students with varying abilities, ideally across grades K–12
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility in adapting instructional methods to student needs
• Creative problem solving and resourcefulness
• Familiarity with IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, adapt, and implement life skills curricula for students in grades K–12
• Provide individualized and group instruction focused on daily functioning, communication, social-emotional skills, and vocational preparation
• Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and collaborate on IEP goals
• Work closely with families, support staff, and other educators to promote student integration and success
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth, engagement, and self-confidence
• Attend school meetings, professional development, and trainings as required
