K-5 Grades 6 - 8 Life Skills Special Education Teacher - Lowell, Massachusetts

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary, middle, or high school levels
• Prior experience as a Life Skills, Special Education, or Resource Teacher preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive curriculum strategies
• Strong ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse abilities and backgrounds
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, modify, and implement engaging Life Skills curriculum for students in Grades K–12
• Collaborate closely with support staff and families to promote student growth
• Monitor progress, adapting instructional approaches as needed to meet varied learning needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and student planning
• Utilize creative strategies, technology, and community resources to enhance instruction
