Desired Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification for K-12 or appropriate grade bands, with a specialty in Life Skills, Special Education, or a related field
• Experience teaching Life Skills curriculum to students between kindergarten and 12th grade
• Strong communication and positive classroom management skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet a diverse range of learning needs
• Collaborative spirit to work effectively with other educators and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that teach critical life skills such as communication, personal care, decision-making, and social interaction
• Assess student progress and adjust lesson plans to optimize learning outcomes for each age group
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Maintain open, regular communication with families and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed, ensuring compliance with all relevant guidelines
• Participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices
