Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification appropriate for elementary, middle, or high school levels
- Prior experience as a Life Skills, Special Education, or Resource Teacher preferred
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive curriculum strategies
- Strong ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse abilities and backgrounds
- Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, modify, and implement engaging Life Skills curriculum for students in Grades K–12
- Collaborate closely with support staff and families to promote student growth
- Monitor progress, adapting instructional approaches as needed to meet varied learning needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and independence
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings and student planning
- Utilize creative strategies, technology, and community resources to enhance instruction
