What you bring:

  • Experience teaching Life Skills or special education across grades K-12
  • Strong understanding of differentiated instruction for diverse learners
  • Collaborative spirit for working with general education teachers, families, and support staff
  • Comfort adapting curriculum and managing student IEP goals
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Active teaching certification (Special Education preferred)
  • Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with students of varying abilities

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons on daily living skills, social/emotional development, and functional academics
  • Adapt materials and strategies to meet individualized educational plans
  • Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and report on IEP goals
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and administration to ensure comprehensive student support
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student growth
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development
