Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education or Life Skills (or ability to obtain as required)
  • Experience working with students in grades K–5, 6–8, and/or 9–12
  • Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and adaptive curriculum development
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Compassionate approach to teaching, with patience and a commitment to student growth

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction focused on life skills, social-emotional learning, and functional academics
  • Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEP goals for assigned students
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student success
  • Foster an inclusive classroom climate where all learners feel supported and valued
  • Track student progress, maintain records, and adjust instructional approaches as necessary
