K-5 Grades 9 - 12 Life Skills Special Education Teacher - Opelika, Alabama

This opportunity seeks a dedicated Life Skills Teacher to work with students across various grade levels, including K-5, 6-8, and 9-12. The position is based in Opelika, AL, within a school setting, on a contract basis. This role is ideal for educators skilled in developing and implementing individualized life skills curricula that support students’ independence and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive life skills instruction tailored to the needs of students in grades K-12.
• Create engaging lesson plans focusing on practical abilities such as personal care, communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth and success.
