Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with an endorsement in Special Education or a related field
• Experience teaching Life Skills curriculum or working with students with diverse learning needs
• Confident in adapting lessons for Grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Demonstrated commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive practices
• Ability to foster a positive and structured classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging Life Skills lesson plans tailored to a range of grade levels and learning styles
• Assess student abilities, devise individualized learning goals, and track progress
• Teach essential daily living, communication, social, and vocational skills in a supportive manner
• Partner with families and other educators to promote student growth and independence
• Modify instruction and provide support as needed to help each learner thrive
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and meetings
