Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification with appropriate special education endorsement

  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with support staff, parents, and administrators
  • Flexible, adaptive approach to accommodate a range of student abilities and learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver tailored instructional programs focused on practical life skills for students in grades K–12
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, review, and monitor IEP goals and progress
  • Foster an encouraging, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates student strengths and promotes skill development
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and adaptive technologies
  • Organize and supervise engaging activities promoting social, vocational, and self-advocacy skills
  • Regularly communicate with families regarding student achievements and progress
