Qualifications and Experience Sought:

• Valid teaching certification, with a focus on special education or life skills preferred
• Experience working with K-12 students in a school environment
• Solid understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Compassionate approach with strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication abilities to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to adapt instruction for a variety of learning needs and styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging life skills lessons tailored for students in grades K through 12
• Implement and progress monitor individualized instructional and behavioral goals
• Foster a supportive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom to promote student independence and confidence
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including support staff and administrators
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student development and milestones
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the program
