Key Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification and credentials appropriate for K-12 life skills instruction
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and/or 9-12
• Strong understanding of adaptive curriculum and evidence-based instructional strategies
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to creating inclusive, respectful, and encouraging classroom settings
• Organizational skills for lesson planning, progress monitoring, and documentation

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging life skills lessons tailored to individual abilities and grade levels
• Provide both group and one-on-one instruction focusing on communication, daily living, social, and vocational skills
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP goals and student success
• Track student progress, complete assessments, and maintain required documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders, sharing updates and celebrating achievements
• Adapt lessons and support strategies to meet the changing needs of diverse learners
