What we’re looking for:

• Strong background in teaching life skills, social-emotional development, or special education
• Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Ability to modify lessons to accommodate varying learning styles and capabilities
• Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with students, staff, and families
• Valid teaching certification/license as required by state guidelines

Key responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons focusing on daily living, positive decision-making, and interpersonal skills
• Encourage independence, self-advocacy, and confidence among students with diverse needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators to support holistic student growth
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP or 504 plan meetings as appropriate
