Step into a meaningful role supporting student health as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an emergency backfill assignment in a school environment. This contract opportunity runs from July 6th, 2026 through July 16th, 2026, with morning shifts from 8:00am to 12:00pm, totaling 14 hours per week. You'll work 1:1 with a student, making a direct impact through skilled care and compassionate support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold an active LPN/LVN license
  • Previous experience in school or pediatric care settings strongly preferred
  • Proficient in monitoring vital signs, tube feeding (management and assessment), and providing all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) support
  • Capable of safely assisting with student transfers and seizure management, including documentation and Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) assistance
  • Comfortable with asthma management and experienced using a suction machine
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, 1:1 care during scheduled hours to ensure student safety and well-being
  • Carry out tube feeding, medication administration, seizure management, and ADLs as needed
  • Maintain concise and timely medical documentation
  • Communicate changes in student condition and collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers
  • Utilize medical equipment such as suction machines and VNS devices according to care protocols
