A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is urgently needed to provide specialized medical support during an overnight student field trip in Adelanto, CA. This contract position involves accompanying a student to a camping experience at Pali Adventures, located at The Rim of The World, from April 6 through April 8. The role requires hands-on care focusing on catheterization and bowel irrigation management throughout the trip.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform catheterization every three hours, adjusting schedule as needed based on the student’s cues.
  • Administer Peristeen bowel irrigation once daily, coordinating timing to fit camp activities.
  • Collaborate with the student and family members to ensure comfort and proper care during medical procedures.
  • Monitor the student's health and respond promptly to any changes or concerns.
  • Maintain a supportive and safe environment throughout the trip duration.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current LVN/LPN license with experience in catheter care and bowel management.
  • Previous work in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ability to manage sensitive medical needs in an outdoor, travel-related environment.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with student, family, and camp staff.
  • Dependability and professionalism during overnight travel assignments.
