Licensed Practical Nurse - K-12 School Setting
Location: Allentown, PA
Duration: Contract through June 10, 2026

This position involves providing nursing care within a K-12 school environment. The role primarily supports students with diverse healthcare needs, including assistance with toileting and tracheostomy care. Candidates must be experienced and comfortable managing challenging behaviors while maintaining safety for students and themselves during escalated situations. Roles may vary between one-on-one student support and classroom assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students in a K-12 setting, focusing on individualized support.
• Manage medical procedures such as tracheostomy and toileting with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Respond calmly and effectively in situations involving behavioral escalations, ensuring safety.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support student health and educational success.
• Maintain accurate health records and comply with relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license.
• Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred.
• Ability to work in a physically active role within a school environment.
• Skilled in behavioral management and providing care to students with complex medical needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
