In this meaningful role, you’ll provide 1:1 nursing care for a female student who requires ongoing monitoring and administration of rescue medication, both in class and during the bus commute. Qualifications & Experience:
- Active LPN or RN license issued by the state of Pennsylvania
- Previous school or pediatric experience preferred
- Ability to provide attentive supervision during classroom and transit periods
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to adapt to student and district needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, evidence-based care including medication administration and monitoring
- Accompany the student on the school bus daily to ensure safety throughout transit
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to foster a supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate health records and update care plans as needed
- Step in as a substitute nurse within the school should the primary student be absent
