High School Certified LPN - School in Anderson, SC

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is needed to provide dedicated one-on-one care for a high school student in Anderson, SC. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with a cognitively high-functioning student who is paralyzed and requires specialized nursing support during the school week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a high school student with complex medical needs.
• Manage ventilator care and other skilled nursing tasks as required.
• Support the student throughout the school day, ensuring health and safety.
• Accompany the student on the school bus to and from school.
• Collaborate with educators and staff to maintain a conducive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification is required.
• Experience with ventilator care preferred.
• Ability to provide one-on-one nursing care in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid license to practice nursing in the state.

Schedule and Location:

• Part-time, approximately 30 hours per week.
• Student attends school Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; Wednesdays off.
• Position based in Anderson, SC.
• Bus riding with the student is a component of the role.
