1:1 Licensed Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Anderson, SC

Bring your expertise and compassion to a rewarding contract assignment supporting a bright, high-functioning high school student with advanced medical needs. In this role, you'll work 1:1 with a student who is paralyzed but cognitively excels, providing vital care both during school hours and on the bus to and from the campus. The schedule totals 30 hours per week, with Wednesdays off, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Qualifications:

• Active LPN license and current certification
• Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with ventilator care and management
• Ability to ride the bus and provide supervision, ensuring student safety at all times
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with students, staff, and families
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with all student health protocols

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 medical care—including ventilator assistance—while supporting the student throughout their school day
• Ride the bus with the student before and after school, monitoring and attending to medical needs during transit
• Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and related service providers to promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment
• Maintain thorough documentation of care provided, following best practices and regulatory standards
• Help foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere that empowers the student to participate fully in their academic and social activities
